Liars Touring November 2, 2010 - January 2, 2011 Teens
Dennis Foon's unflinching story of two teenagers is a poignant examination of growing up in a family where there is parental alcohol abuse. The story is told through the use of compelling theatrical effects, from the point of view of two very different teenagers - Lenny, a conscientious over-achiever who wrongly assumes guilt for her mother's drinking problem; and Jace, a tough, bright young man full of hate and full of love unable to reconcile the two. As Lenny and Jace learn to talk to each other and trust one another with their great secret, they also find the courage to deal with their fractured lives and their parents' problem.
"Liars is a powerful drama with enormous integrity. The teens were captivated...alternatively squirmed, roared with laughter or sat in dead silence." The Vancouver Province
Russell's World Touring February 7 to May 13, 2011 Ages 5-12
Russell comes home every day after school to an empty house. His mom, a single parent, has moved to a new city. Russell misses his old friends and he is being bullied at his new school. At home by himself, Russell conjures up an exciting make-believe world of outer space journeys and high seas voyages. Together, Russell and his imaginary friends invent adventures that ultimately help him grow, to accept his new situation, and begin to face his fears.
"Russell's room is alive with pirates and talking books that help him tackle his schoolyard problems. Wonderful - one of the year's best." NOW Magazine, Toronto
"From the point of view of just being dazzled by the magic of animating these characters, it's wonderful for absolutely anybody of any age." Al Rae, CBC Radio
