Jake's Gift
October 26 - November 2, 2010
For Teens

Jake's Gift is an award winning play about a WW2 veteran's journey back to Juno Beach for the 60 year anniversary of D-Day. While there, Jake meets Isabelle, a precocious 10 year old from the local village, whose inquisitive nature and charm challenge the old soldier to confront some long ignored ghosts; most notably, the war-time death of his eldest brother Chester, who was once a promising young musician. At its heart, Jake's Gift is about the importance of remembrance and makes personal the story behind one soldier's grave. Be a witness to history with Jake's Gift.

Jason and the Argonauts
November 18 - 28, 2010
Ages 8 - Teen

Two actors, 65 minutes, one golden fleece. Visible Fictions' hugely physical and irreverent telling of the ancient Greek myth plays with scale, action figures and a stage wagon that turns into a three-sail ship - among other things. From the creators of Cyrano and The Red Balloon, Jason and the Argonauts is a great adventure story with monsters, romance, destiny, heroism and revenge.

Liars
January 6 - 14, 2011
Teens

Dennis Foon's unflinching story of two teenagers is a poignant examination of growing up in a family where there is parental alcohol abuse. The story is told through the use of compelling theatrical effects, from the point of view of two very different teenagers - Lenny, a conscientious over-achiever who wrongly assumes guilt for her mother's drinking problem; and Jace, a tough, bright young man full of hate and full of love unable to reconcile the two. As Lenny and Jace learn to talk to each other and trust one another with their great secret, they also find the courage to deal with their fractured lives and their parents' problem.

The Man Who Planted Trees
March 10 - 18, 2011
Ages 8 - Teen

A French shepherd sets out with his dog to planet a forest and transform a barren wasteland. As War rages across Europe, their young forest comes under threat... A unique blend of comedy, puppetry and inspiring storytelling, with sensory effects creating scents, wind and rain. An inspiring and unforgettable story that shows us the difference one man (and his dog!) can make.

Circus INcognitus
March 27 - April 8, 2011
All Ages

"Genius" said the New York Times, and our audiences agreed. Jamie Adkins brought the house down at MTYP with his astonishing dexterity and side-splitting stunts in Typo. As brilliant as his last show, Jamie's new show won't just dazzle you, it will melt your heart. Circus Incognitus is about having the courage to try new ideas, pushing them to their limits and not giving up when all goes wrong.
