Theresa Fawcett
Theresa is an Actor, Director, Instructor and sometimes choreographer, who has worked in theatre and film for over 13 years. She loved being a student at MTYP, and met many of her best friends through the company. 2009 will mark her 9th year working at MTYP. She has been involved in teaching almost every type of class at MTYP, age 3 to 18, from Musical Theatre to Film and has directed 6 Junior Extra Curricular Shows.
Her theatre acting credits range from a Green Kids Inc tour to Pinter, Brecht to many Improv and Sketch shows and she has been involved with 13 different Fringe shows in 9 years. Film work includes Billie Dee Knights Dog Face as well as work with Guy Madden and Sean Garrity. She has directed many productions of varying size and age but favorites include “Sherlock Holmes” and “Tumbling After (the musical)” for Shaftesbury High School , “AAIIIEEEE” and “Across the Ocean” for MTYP, a pair of David Ives One Act plays for St Paul’s High School as well as her Fringe Festival work.
She continues to work in many schools, mostly in Manitoba and many in Winnipeg School Division 1 through Learning Through the Arts. When she grows up, Theresa wants to be a pirate.
