Manitoba Theatre for Young People understands that the privacy and security of your personal information is important to you. We are committed to ensuring that the information you share with us is recorded accurately, retained securely, and used only according to your wishes.

WHAT During the course of our relationship we may collect some personal information. This may include your name, street and email addresses, phone and fax numbers and credit card information. We may also have a record of your purchases and donations. We sometimes have more detailed information from patrons, volunteers, donors and others who have been dedicated and long-term supporters of the Centre. This may include, for example, the names of members of their family, business addresses and special interests, or Theatre School students’ medical information.

WHEN Most of this information is collected when you purchase a ticket or subscription, register for a Theatre School class or camp, make a donation, or volunteer. It may come to us through your phone call, mail or email, or when you come to the Theatre.

WHY We need this information for subscription renewal purposes, to fully engage you as a volunteer, to mail your charitable income tax receipt, to mail you newsletters, brochures and other information, to contact you about changes in schedules or upcoming events, or to notify you of special offers: in short, to provide the high level of service you have come to expect from us.

WHERE Only authorized personnel have access to this information and it will not be disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected without your prior consent. Manual and technological safeguards are in place to ensure proper security.

On occasion, Manitoba Theatre for Young People may engage an outside mail-house to facilitate a special large mailing and will provide that agency with names and addresses from our files. We will ensure that any such agency is contractually bound to the same strict privacy controls that we use ourselves.

Manitoba Theatre for Young People is committed to assessing new technology for protecting customer information on an ongoing basis.

Manitoba Theatre for Young People provides links to some third party sites. As we do not control those sites, we encourage users to learn about their particular privacy policies.

HOW With your consent, we will communicate with you or send you information that we believe to be of interest to you. We are also committed to ensuring that patrons and donors do not receive an unreasonable number of letters, emails or phone calls.
